Design your bedroom in Feng Shui
Are you suffering from insomnia, or you often get the feeling that no matter how much you sleep you still can't get the rest you need?
Suffer no more! Feng Shui is about to make your rest more fulfilling and healthy. Feng Shui brings harmony and peace wherever it is practiced.
Getting a good rest is more than essential for your body. So create the atmosphere which is needed for that. Feng Shui is about creating energetically balanced spaces, so that everyone who inhabits the certain space can benefit from the goods of the universe. Whether we are talking about health, wealth, prosperity, success, nice friendships and relationships, happiness and so on. If you follow Feng Shui's rules you soon begin to attract these things in your life.
So hesitate no more! If you are about to make some renovations in your home and specifically in your bedroom read the following tips on the design (arranging and coloring) of your bedroom.
Feng Shui says about your bedroom design these things:
- Don't put your bed under a window. If you don't have any other choice - keep the curtains down.
- Don't use sharp shapes in your design. Let there be wide angles. For instance your windows may be in the shape of an arch. This will decrease the number of angles.
- Try to sooth the environment in any way you can! This is the place, where your body and mind rest. Take care of them and don't put extra pressure on their senses. You've got enough already during the working day.
- Don't sleep with your legs facing directly the doorway. Your head also shouldn't be in such direction.
- Put the bed with its headboard right next to a big, solid wall. And in a position which allows you to see the door, but as we mentioned above - position it in a way which doesn't put your head or feet directly facing the door. I repeat that so that you don't make this essential mistake in the bedroom design.
- Do not put your bed in a way that your head would face north.
- Make a closet for your stuff, which most of the time uses only space and makes the bedroom look messy. You can put all the things, which you don't need most of the time but only occasionally.
- Use similar colors for the furniture and the walls. Feng Shui doesn't allow major contrasts in the color design. This unbalances the energies in the bedroom. Feng Shui recommends the use of lighter colors.
- Design your bedroom in such way, that the higher furniture is placed on the left side of the bed and the low table for instance is on the right side of the bed. Don't put stuff in front of the bed, where your legs are or under the bed.
- As is mentioned in the related article about the bedroom furniture in Feng Shui - don't include mirrors in your design for the bedroom. This will only bring you worries.
- Don't put a lamp over your head, above the bed. It is not Feng Shui like. Put lamps with delicate light, which allows you to read properly right next to the bed, on your bed tables or drawers.
- Put crystals around your bed and on other places in your bedroom.
- The color of your bedroom is essential for the whole design. The color depends on which direction the bedroom is situated according to the center of the house. Read the “How to color your living room according to Feng Shui article and there you will get that information. Yet, specifically for the bedroom colors like light purple, white, blue and yellow are a great choice for Feng Shui design. Don't use dark and vivid colors, but something mellow.
- Put a few candles. You can put even a red one, especially if you are sharing your bed with someone else. Let the candles be with a nice, relaxing scent.
