Feng Shui is the art of creating harmony and attracting positive energies. By following some easy tips on furniture you can create peaceful environment in your bedroom!
Sleeping is essential part of your life! It is vital for the proper function of your organism. If you don't rest properly your whole body begins to suffer. To get a good sleep you don't need just some bed, a pillow and a blanket, the whole environment is important for the process.
Whether your share your bedroom with someone else or you have it all for yourself is not that important in this case. Feng Shui helps you with its rules of arranging furniture in your bedroom. By following them you create a balanced atmosphere, which affects positively on your health.
Here are some tips on what to put or not as a furniture in your bedroom according to Feng Shui:
- Don't put any mirrors in your bedroom! They don't affect the environment in a positive way. They have a negative effect on your relationships and bring negative energies in your life. They also affect the health... So NO MIRRORS!
- Don't put large or too many plants in your bedroom! Not only because Feng Shui says so, but from scientific point of view: plants use oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide during the night phase of the photosynthesis. This is not healthy for your organism, especially if you are sleeping with closed windows.
- Don't keep a lot of toys in your bedroom, also tell your kids to put their toys in the drawers when they are finished with the play.
- Even though fountains are a good decision in Feng Shui, they are not for your bedroom! Also fish tanks are not a good idea.
- Your bed must be from wood. This attracts positive energies according to Feng Shui. The bed is the most important furniture in your bedroom, so follow this tip! Don't buy some metal or plastic bed.
- Don't keep much electronic stuff in your bedroom. Put the TV and the computer in your living room, or at your working space in the house. You can live without a TV in the bedroom, can't you?
- Put as much stuff as possible in your closet!
- Again for the bed - let it be low, as close to the ground as possible.
- The colors of your furniture must be light, as the walls of your bedroom according to Feng Shui.
- If you are sharing your bedroom with someone else and you also suffer from light sleep - consider putting carpets all over the bedroom. This will reduce the noise of the footsteps of your partner if he/she wakes up in the middle of the night and decides to go to the kitchen or the bathroom. That way you won't find yourself woken up and without any chance to go to sleep again. Feng Shui is helpful for the people, who suffer insomnia.
- Put a little desk somewhere, if you have a lot of space in your bedroom, without muchstuff on it.
- Get a nice comfortable chair too if you have enough space. You can rest in it, if you need to isolate yourself for a little while from the rest of the people in your home.
- Put big night drawers or tables beside your bed. This will ease your comfort if you have to spend more time in bed awake, or if you haven't removed the TV as I told you.
- Don't keep stuff under your bed. This is not a very good Feng Shui idea. Put them in the closet, or in big drawers. Keeping stuff under your bed prevents the energies from circling around you and the furniture.
